Wrestling OVAC Tournament

The OVAC Wrestling Tournament was held January 18-20. We had three placers: Lucas Thomas got first, Landen Thomas got second, and Hunter Bittenger got fifth.

A Victory for Junior High Girls’ Basketball

On Saturday, January 20, the girls’ junior high basketball team challenged Union Local. The 7th grade team was victorious with the final score of 24-22, while the 8th team unfortunately fell 30-11.

Girls’ Basketball Buckeye 8 Tournament

On Saturday, January 20, the girls’ basketball team traveled to St. Clairsville for the Buckeye 8 Tournament, where they played against Cambridge. The girls defeated the Bobcats with a score of 65-35.

Girls’ Basketball Defeats Wildcats

On Monday, January 22, the high school girls’ basketball team played against the Edison Wildcats. Junior varsity fell short 31-18. In between games, the seniors, Danica Rensi and Angi Ferri, were recognized. Varsity had a big win on senior night, with a score of 66-47, defeating the Wildcats.

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Falls to St. Clairsville

On Monday, January 22, the junior high boys’ basketball team versed the St. Clairsville Red Devils. Both teams unfortunately were defeated, 7th grade finished with a final score of 44-37, and the 8th grade team’s final score was 48-19.

Boys’ Basketball Defeats Edison

On Tuesday, January 23, the boys’ basketball team hosted Edison. Both teams were victorious. The junior varsity team won 51-33, while the varsity team won 72-39.

Bowling Defeats St. Clairsville

On Tuesday, January 23, the bowling team faced St. Clairsville. Both teams beat the Red Devils. The boys were victorious with a score of 2221-1634, while the girls won 1514-1212.

Junior High Girls’ Basketball Splits with Tigers

The junior high girls’ basketball team played Shadyside on Wednesday, January 24. The 7th grade team was defeated 42-26, but the 8th grade team was victorious, 36-23.

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Victorious against Panthers

On Thursday, January 25, the junior high boys’ basketball team hosted the Buckeye Local Panthers. The 7th grade team only played two quarters, winning with a score of 19-4. The 8th grade played a full four-quarter game, winning 38-22.

Junior High Girls Split with Shamrocks

On Thursday, January 25, the junior high girls’ basketball team traveled to Barnesville. The 7th grade team was victorious, 18-14. The 8th grade team was unfortunately defeated, 43-24.

Boys’ Basketball Victorious on Senior Night

The boys’ basketball team hosted their senior night against Buckeye Local on Thursday, January 25. Both teams were victorious. The junior varsity won with a final score of 64-52, and the varsity won 61-42.

Harrison Central Artists!

These 3 pieces were selected to represent HC in the Statehouse & Riffe Center Art Exhibit this April in Columbus. On the left is Jillian Foreman who is in 11th grade, middle is Adeline Beetham who is in 2nd grade and on the right is Nate Frye who is in 12th grade. A reception will be held for the artists and their families in April at the Riffe Center. Congratulations and amazing job!
