Girls’ Junior Varsity Bowling EOBL

  
 

 
  On Friday, February 2, the girls’ junior varsity bowling team qualified for the EOBL Junior Varsity Tournament Finals. The team consisted of: Sarah Zitzman, Sophie Bland, Bralee Thomas, and Hayley Willis.  
  

Comp Cheer OVAC Runners-Up

  
 

 
  

The competition cheer team traveled to WesBanco to compete in the OVAC championship, on Saturday, February 3. The team finished runners-up in the non-tumble large school division.

8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Victorious in Tournament

  
 

 
  

On Saturday, February 3, the 8th grade boys’ basketball team had a tournament at Union Local, where they played Shenandoah. The boys were victorious with a final score of 42-23.

Girls’ Basketball Defeats Steubenville Central

  
 

 
  

On Monday, February 5, the girls' basketball team played against Steubenville Catholic Central. The junior varsity team was defeated 19-15. The varsity team was victorious with a score of 58-55.

Boys’ Basketball Defeats Beaver Local

  
 

 
  

On Tuesday, February 6, the boys’ basketball team hosted Beaver Local, in OVAC play. The junior varsity lost 42-32, but the varsity team won 70-61, sending them to the OVAC championship on Saturday, February 10.

Bowling Victorious Over Wheeling Park

  
 

 
  

On Tuesday, February 6, the bowling team hosted Wheeling Park. Both teams were victorious on the night. The boys won with a score of 2031-1788, while the girls won with a score of 1493-1433.

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Tournament

  
 

 
  

The boys’ junior high basketball teams traveled to Union Local to participate in tournament play. The 7th grade team played Shenandoah, unfortunately losing with a final score of 47-36. The 8th grade team played Martins Ferry and were victorious with a final score of 31-28.

Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive behavior awards: Kelsey Powers for being ready to learn and Andrew Mattern for demonstrating kindness.

8th Grade Social Studies Project

  
 

 
  8th grade social studies students made Benjamin Bumper Stickers. The bumper sticker had a famous quote from Benjamin Franklin and was decorated. On the back, they explained what the quote means and why it was decorated the way it was.
