Boys’ Basketball Defeats Weir

  
 

 
  

On Friday, December 8, the boys’ basketball team traveled to Weirton. The junior varsity team was victorious 31-23, while the varsity team finished with a final score of 91-69.

Wrestling at Smithville Tournament

  
 

 
  The wrestling team traveled to Smithville to participate in the WIT Tournament on Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9. The team finished the tournament in 5th place. We also had three 1st place finishers, Lucas Thomas, Landen Thomas, and Hunter Bittinger.  
  

Junior High Boys’ Basketball Victorious Over Rockets

  
 

 
  

On Saturday, December 9, the junior high boys’ basketball team hosted Conotton Valley. Starting off, the 7th grade team finished with a winning score of 31-29. Following that, the 8th grade won 43-23.

8th Grade Girls’ Basketball Defeats Rockets

  
 

 
  

On Saturday, December 9, the 8th grade girls’ basketball team traveled to Conotton Valley. They won with a final score of 42-29.

On Saturday, December 9, the girls’ bowling team traveled to Indian Valley to participate in their invitational. The team finished the day in fourth place.

Junior High Wrestling at Buckeye Local

  
 

 
  

On Saturday, December 9, the junior high wrestling team traveled to Buckeye Local, to participate in their tournament. The team finished the tournament in 13th place.

Cheer State Spirit Championships

  
 

 
  The game day competition cheer team participated in the OHSAA State Spirit Championships on Sunday, December 10. The team finished in 4th place.  
  

Girls’ Basketball Falls to Indian Creek

  
 

 
  

On Monday, December 11, the girls’ basketball team played Indian Creek. The junior varsity only played two quarters. The varsity lost with a final score of 61-35.

Bowling Splits with Buckeye Local

  
 

 
  The bowling team hosted Buckeye Local on Tuesday, December 12. The boys’ team was victorious 2162-1618, while the girls’ team was unfortunately defeated 1629-1496.  
  

Boys’ Basketball Hosts Carrollton

  
 

 
  The boys’ basketball team hosted Carrollton on Tuesday, December 12. The junior varsity team fell with a final score of 47-37, while the varsity finished the night victorious, with a final score of 60-45.  
  

Wrestling Hosts Claymont

  
 

 
  The wrestling team hosted Claymont for their home opener on Wednesday, December 13 for senior night. Three seniors were recognized before the match; Bryce Wallace, Hunter Bittinger, and Lucas Thomas. They lost a close one, 39-36. The wrestlers who won their matches were: Landen Thomas, Andrew Alberts, Beau Rinkes, Bryce Wallace, Hunter Bittinger, and Lucas Thomas.  
  

Bowling at St. Clairsville

  
 

 
  

On Thursday, December 14, the bowling team traveled to St. Clair Lanes, to take on the St. Clairsville Red Devils. The varsity boys won with a score of 2055-1845. The high individual scores were: Chad Veirs with 203, Kobie Hennis with 199 and 197, Drew Culbertson with 191 and 187, and John Grey with 181. The varsity girls also won their games 1389-1157. High individual scores were: Jaylie Byers with a 141, Grace Cain with a 120, and Angel Utter with a 119. The junior varsity girls’ team won their game with a score of 1057-287. High individual scores were: Bralee Thomas with 147 and 113, Sophie Bland with 126, Tayla Thompson with 103, and Sarah Zitzman with 100. The mixed junior varsity team lost with a score of 890-782, with high individual scores of Kim Eikleberry with a 130 and a 127, LJ Mitchell with a 105, and Mariel Ward with a 104.

  Congratulations to the following students for their positive behavior: Lance Rupp for being engaged in learning, Michael Abel for treating others with kindness, and Laya Thomas for good citizenship.
