State Report Card
Each year, the state releases a report card for school districts. While it offers one lens of evaluation, it does not fully capture the heart of Harrison Hills or the extraordinary work happening in our classrooms and community. Our students are achieving more than a score can reflect, and our programs continue to grow in ways that shape lives and open doors for the future.
At the start of each school year, we ask our staff and students what they’re most looking forward to—and their answers remind us that the true story of Harrison Hills is written in daily moments of growth, connection, and opportunity.
Please click each school tab below to see the larger picture of what we are doing day in and day out. We also encourage you to explore our website and follow our social media pages to discover even more about our schools.

Our Students Are More Than a Score
At Harrison Hills, we measure success by the opportunities our students seize, the challenges they embrace, and the futures they build. The state report card is one piece of information—but the true story is written every day by our students and staff.
Building Career Pathways
Our students don’t just study for the future—they step into it.
- Through our partnership with Belmont College, students earn Industry-Recognized Credentials in Welding, entering a workforce that needs skilled talent.
- We are launching a new Animal Science Career-Technical Education program that reflects student interest and regional demand, preparing future veterinarians, technicians, and agricultural leaders.
- The PAWsitivity Café is a student-run experience where learners build real-world skills and earn Ohio Graduation SEALs.
College Credit Plus on Campus
Numbers can’t capture the rigor our students embrace daily. Our College Credit Plus (CCP) program is led by in-house, professionally licensed instructors, giving students access to college-level classes without leaving Harrison Central. Students earn transcripted credits, lower future tuition costs, and gain confidence in their academic potential.
Supporting Every Learner
Achievement is more than a percentage—it’s about growth and opportunity.
- Work Skills and Work Readiness courses support identified and at-risk students, helping them build confidence and employability.
- Our gifted curriculum, with four advanced courses, challenges high-level thinkers and fosters innovation.
Connecting Learning to Life
The report card doesn’t measure passion, leadership, or service—but we do.
- Through Service Learning, students contribute to the community while developing empathy and responsibility.
- Job shadowing connects classroom learning to real-world careers, giving students a clearer vision for their future.

Harrison Central Elementary
Our youngest learners are building strong foundations for future success. At Harrison Central Elementary, we take a personalized approach to ensure every child has the tools they need to grow.- Small-group instruction led by intervention specialists provides targeted support in real time.
- A dedicated reading specialist and math specialist focus on strengthening core skills.
- In the 2024–2025 school year, we piloted a new model for 3rd grade math instruction, and the results have spoken for themselves—students are thriving under this innovative approach.
We also believe in connecting learning to creativity and future careers:
-
The Wax Museum initiative brings real innovators to life, allowing students to research, embody, and present historical and modern changemakers in a dynamic way.
-
Early career exploration is introduced through partnerships with organizations like MPLX and the Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District, where students experience hands-on learning days tied to local industries.
-
Technology is integrated from the start—each student, including preschoolers, is equipped with a Chromebook to prepare them for a technology-driven world.
This commitment to early, individualized support ensures that by the time students move on to higher grades, they are prepared not just to keep up, but to excel.
